We are another week closer to Franklin City Election Day and time is of the essence. There are only five days left to register to vote. Monday, September 25, is the last day. Please remind newcomers who have not registered, as well as first-time voters to register.
Next, there are only two weeks before voters begin casting ballots. Turnout should be higher than years past. Early voting begins Thursday, October 4, so we are looking for volunteers to serve as neighborhood coordinators, small and large subdivisions. We need to promote these candidates and also urge voter participation. (Scroll down to see simple ways that you can make a huge difference for our candidates.)
As we announced last week, the Coalition for Common Sense TN endorsed highly qualified and capable candidates for their respective positions:
Office Endorsed
Mayor – Dr. Ken Moore
Alderman At-Large – Position A Clyde Barnhill
Alderman at Large – Position B Brandy Blanton
Alderman At Large – Position C Greg Caesar
Alderman At Large – Position D Ann Petersen
These trusted leaders have given their time and talents to help guide Franklin to new heights of success.
We like to say that people come here because they understand Franklin is an outstanding place, but what is enjoyed today didn’t happen overnight and it didn’t happen by accident. Thoughtful and committed leadership is the difference. These candidates will continue that important leadership.
Thank you for your time and volunteerism. It is critical to get involved before October 4. Please sign-up at www.coalitionforcommonsensetn.org. You can submit your name and let our organizers know what you can do to Get Out the Vote!
